In 2017, Joe Honda’s daughter, Emiko Jozuka, founded the Joe Honda Archive to preserve and share Honda’s photographic legacy with new generations.
Through the ongoing conservation and exhibition of his archive, we aim to preserve a remarkable visual record of motorsport history — captured through the eye of one of the sport’s most distinctive photojournalists.
More than a documentation of racing, the collection reflects the people, atmosphere, and cultural evolution of international motorsport during a transformative era.
The long-term vision is to establish an initiative that expands access to motorsport, photography, and the arts through the archive and its educational potential.
